PERFORMANCES
Performance, theatre, show, dance, music, in other words, performing arts. Basically, all of them refer to the human bodily expression on stage. Yet more importantly, they manifest the very nature of the human being and their relationship with the Universe. We observe that at the very core of this rapport there lies and it is ceaselessly evolving the lived ‘I-Thou’ dynamic process of the communication and exchange. ’Thou’ denotes both my inner self and the other, the interlocutor standing in front of me, be it my Self or another person. But first of all ‘I’ confronts the Supreme Being. Now, the transformational power of performing arts consists in their cathartic and instructive working. One of the most powerful examples of the genre is the ancient chorea or the triple unity of movement, sound and words. It implies a unique ability to create a seamless multi modal piece of the stage art while demanding the highest performative skills from a performer. We believe that this aesthetic unity reflects the ontological coherence of reality or Being, every so often achieved through one’s constant effort to hone their art.
